Sandarsh Krishna, a 26-year-old Indian man, is reported missing in Arizona’s Grand Canyon National Park, prompting the park to seek public assistance in locating him. Park authorities said Krishna was last seen April 28 on the Rim Train on Hermit Road between Bright Angel Lodge and Mohave Point before disappearing from the park. At the time, he was wearing sportswear.“Grand Canyon National Park is asking for the public’s assistance in locating a person last seen missing from the park,” authorities said.“On April 28, 2026, Grand Canyon Dispatch was notified of a missing person, identified as 26-year-old Sandarsh Krishna. The last possible known location was between 4 p.m. and 12 a.m. on April 27 on the Rim Trail along Hermit Road between Bright Angel Lodge and Mohave Point. April 28th. There are no known vehicles associated with the individual, who may have been using a rideshare or taxi service. Krishna is 5 feet 10 inches tall, of slim build, weighing approximately 160 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing tracksuits,” the message read.Officials said Krishna did not have a vehicle and was believed to have traveled through a ride-share or taxi service.After park authorities asked for the public’s help in locating Krishna, a person submitted a black backpack that authorities believed belonged to Krishna. “Investigators believe Krishna was in possession of a black backpack before his disappearance,” park officials said in a Facebook post. “Around 7 a.m., a black backpack was handed over to hotel staff at the Bright Angel Inn.” They say the person who returned the bag is not a suspect and investigators will speak with him once he is identified. National Park Service rangers at Grand Canyon National Park released a photo of the man returning the backpack and asked for the public’s help identifying him.Grand Canyon National Park is located entirely within the state of Arizona and covers 278 miles (447 kilometers) of the Colorado River and adjacent highlands, according to its website.
