New Delhi: The Times Internet Half Marathon brings together emerging talent, with the Under 29 10km category showcasing speed, ambition and a hopeful athletic journey.The one that ensures the highest position is Krishna PalAt 28 years old, his chip time is an impressive 34:00. Parr, who started his running journey in 2019, said his interest in the sport was sparked after reading about marathons in the newspaper. What started as curiosity soon turned into commitment, and he’s been running ever since.Pal, who currently works with Tata Power Services, noted that the support from his organization played a key role in helping him pursue his passion. Going forward, he aims to represent India in the Olympics. Looking back on the event, he said that despite participating in many marathons, the experience of this event stood out.The second place position is held by Rajeshhis chip time was 35 minutes and 40 seconds, just over a minute behind the leader. Despite narrowly missing out on the top spot, Rajesh remains optimistic, saying he is focused on improving and sees every game as a step forward. He added that while it may not have been his day, the experience was both positive and motivating.The third place went Mohit SharmaThe 21-year-old’s chip time was 36 minutes and 19 seconds. Sharma started running as a student four years ago, initially taking up the sport as a hobby. It wasn’t until his speed was noticed that he started taking it more seriously. He qualified for national competition at school and is now focused on further progressing at the national level. The Under-29 category embodies a blend of raw talent and growing ambition, with runners at different stages coming together on a common platform.As the competition unfolds in the capital, the category emphasizes not only performance but also the desire to push the next generation of athletes, taking them closer to their goals every step of the way.
