New Delhi: Following the resignation of Dr M Srinivas, the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, has handed over the additional responsibilities of Director to Dr Nikhil Tandon, Head and Dean (Academic), Department of Endocrinology and Metabolism.Dr Srinivas has been appointed as full time member Niti Aayogprompting the institute to make interim arrangements for its top job.According to an office memo issued on April 27, Dr. Tandon will perform the duties of director in addition to his existing duties. The arrangement will be in effect for six months or until a regular appointment is made, whichever is earlier.The order also provides that no additional compensation will be paid for holding additional charges.
