The business’s reported value increased from about $51,000 in 2023 to $30 million in 2024, the House Oversight Committee said in a letter. As a result of this change, the committee requested records. They want to see how the numbers are calculated. They also asked if new investors or other financial reasons were responsible for the growth.
Omar submitted his latest financial report after criticism. The new document reduced the reported value of her and her husband’s assets. The revised report said their combined net worth was less than $100,000. It explains this by including debt and changes to how earlier numbers were calculated.
