New Delhi: BJP on Saturday stepped up attack on AAP chief Arvind KejriwalA day after Raghav Chadha’s exodus dealt a major blow to the party, a new poster has been released against him.The poster, titled “AAP-da’s film: Taanashah”, features a serious image of Kejriwal in the center and a row of AAP members in the background who appear to be walking away.
The party’s broom symbol is smashed in the foreground while discarded AAP hats are scattered on the ground, pointing to the exodus led by Raghav Chadha. The slogan at the bottom reads “Director: Arvind Kejriwal”.The BJP’s offensive comes a day after the AAP suffered a major setback, with several members of the party’s Lok Sabha including Raghav Chadhaquit the party and joined the Bharatiya Janata Party.
Raghav Chadha, who was earlier ousted as deputy leader of the upper house, formally announced the split at a press conference in Delhi, claiming that nearly two-thirds of the party’s Lok Sabha MPs will now operate as an independent faction.Like Chadha, Sandeep Pathak and Ashok Mittal also announced their resignation and joined the BJP in the presence of the party leadership.
