Shooting reported in Flagstaff Arizona Wednesday. A scanner alert indicated a shooting in the Railroad Springs area.

The Flagstaff Police Department said in a statement, “Police are responding to an incident in the neighborhood north of W 66 between S Thompson Street and N Mark Lane! Please avoid the area and shelter in place if you are currently nearby.”
A further update from the scanner said police made contact with the subject who was initially shot on the roof. “PM officials have engaged in multiple gunfights with the black male suspect. Drones and helicopters are responding. SWAT teams are arriving on scene. The suspect was shooting on the roof and has now jumped off the roof and is a visible presence in the area. Stay indoors and lock all doors and windows. Do not respond to any doors. Shelter in place,” the post read.
Scanner reports indicate that Flagstaff police They were staying at a home on Shirley Avenue after a fight where a possible shooting occurred. Several agencies are said to be helping.
It was unclear whether anyone was injured in the shooting. The suspect’s identity is also unclear.

Several people shared their reactions to the Flagstaff shooting. “I heard a whole magazine being unloaded,” one person said, suggesting someone fired an entire magazine.
“There were multiple shots fired,” another person confirmed. “There was just another gunshot,” another said.
