Army chief visits U.S. headquarters in Hawaii to strengthen security architecture in Indo-Pacific region

Army Chief of Staff Gen. Upendra Dwivedi on Wednesday paid a high-level visit to U.S. Army Pacific (USARPAC) at Fort Shafter, Hawaii, as both countries look to strengthen the security architecture in the Indo-Pacific region.During the visit, General Dwivedi held extensive discussions with General Ronald P. Clark, commander of U.S. Army Pacific Command, and other senior military leaders.ADGPI said in a post onOutside the boardroom, the Army chief of staff took an aerial tour of Oahu. The investigation gave the Army chief of staff a first-hand look at the U.S. military’s training ecosystem, observing advanced infrastructure for jungle and littoral warfare training and multi-domain readiness, and gaining insight into how the United States integrates land, air, maritime, cyber and space capabilities to maintain warfighting advantage.The Army Chief of Staff’s visit came shortly after Air Force Chief of Staff Marshal Singh was hosted by Air Force Chief of Staff Gen. Ken Wilsbach at the Pentagon on April 10. The two Air Force Chiefs met to discuss mutual assistance and plans for a productive future for both countries.
