In December, the two sides agreed to a $60.5 million settlement, according to court documents reviewed by USA TODAY. Despite Tinder’s settlement, the company “denies that it did anything wrong or violated any law or that any class member was harmed by its age-based pricing policies,” according to a class action notice.
How to get settlement cash today
Those who purchased Tinder Plus or Tinder Gold in California on or after March 2, 2015 (age 29 and older) or after March 2, 2016 (age 28 and older) are eligible for the settlement. People will receive a proportional share of the settlement money per capita, according to the settlement website.
Each class member may receive a share equal to the court-approved net settlement amount. This is then divided by the total number of class members participating in the settlement.
