According to official statements, there are currently no suspects in the case. However, authorities’ investigation into Annie Guthrie’s community has raised some questions.

Authorities were investigating Annie Guthrie’s neighborhood, and one person who lives there told local reporters they had heard authorities were investigating and believed someone might have thrown a camera out of a car in the area.
The authorities themselves have not yet clarified why the area was being searched. The FBI announced it would conduct searches on roads in Catalina Mountain related to the Guthrie case.
