NEW DELHI: Nearly 700,000 voters have been added to West Bengal’s electoral rolls ahead of assembly elections, officials said, but detailed population data is yet to be released. election commission of india.PTI quoted a senior official as saying that of the new voters, around 3.22 lakh people will vote in the first phase, while nearly 3.88 lakh people will vote in the second phase. However, the commission has not yet clarified how many of these are first-time voters who have recently turned 18, nor has it provided a breakdown by gender.

Data on Form-6 applications for inclusion in the electoral roll and the number of rejections have also not been disclosed.
