In the post, Trump outlined what he said would be a series of high-security elements that would be part of the ballroom complex. These include “air raid shelters, state-of-the-art hospitals and medical facilities” and “top-secret military installations.”
He also listed “protective missile defense steel,” “drone-proof ceilings” and “ballistic, ballistic and blast-proof glass” as measures necessary to ensure the safety of future presidents and world leaders during major events.
Trump claimed that without these upgrades, the White House would lack a “safe and secure large conference venue” to host the inauguration and global summits.
Court rules to suspend construction
