5 月 16 日,法院因洗钱案传唤罗伯特·瓦德拉 (Robert Vadra) 和其他 8 人Robert Vadra His money laundering case related to the Shikohpur land deal in Gurgaon led to him and eight other accused appearing in court on May 16, Koushiki Saha reported. The ED’s chargesheet, equivalent to a charge sheet, filed in July 2025, describes the deal as a complex scheme to generate and layer proceeds of crime, with Vadra as the primary beneficiary. Vadra has denied any wrongdoing, calling the case a “political vendetta” against him and his family, including his wife, Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, former Congress president Sonia Gandhi and opposition leader Rahul Gandhi in the Lok Sabha.Apart from Vadra, summons was also issued to Kewal Singh Virk, Skylight Hospitality LLP, Sky Light Realty Pvt Ltd, Real Earth Estates LLP, Blue Breeze Trading LLP, North India IT Parks LLP, Lambodar Art Enterprises India LLP and SGY Properties Pvt Ltd (formerly Onkareshwar Properties Pvt Ltd). However, the court did not summon another accused, Satyanand Yajee, saying there was no material to file a case against him.The case stems from a deal in February 2008, when Vadra was director of Skylight Hospitality, to purchase 3.5 acres of land in Shikohpur for Rs 75 crore. In September 2012, the company sold the land to DLF for Rs 58 crore.Examining the ED’s prosecution complaint, Additional Sessions Judge Sushant Changotra stressed that the scope of the investigation at this stage was “very narrow” and said the court would only have to examine the documents broadly and satisfy itself that “there are sufficient grounds to proceed with the case”.The court noted that Vadra, as a “substantial shareholder and principal director/partner”, allegedly played an active role in the commission of offenses under Sections 3 and 4 of the PMLA.
