Prime Minister Modi and Bangladeshi political party workers

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday said feedback from party workers in West Bengal indicated growing public support for the Bharatiya Janata Party ahead of the assembly elections. The Prime Minister posted on“These interactions reaffirm that the sentiment in West Bengal is clearly in favor of the BJP,” he added, indicating confidence in the party as campaigning intensifies in the state.Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a sharp attack on the TMC during the rally, accusing the party of corruption, appeasement and neglect of North Bengal, while insisting that the BJP will form the next government in West Bengal.Addressing a rally, Prime Minister Modi said, “The brutal TMC government has been in power for 15 years… all you have seen is destruction,” adding that the current elections will shape the future of the country. He stepped up his criticism, calling the ruling party “anti-North Bengal”, “anti-tribal” and against the interests of women and youth, claiming that the party had failed to achieve meaningful development and provide a credible tenure report card. The Prime Minister also accused the state government of discriminatory budget allocation, claiming that development in North Bengal was neglected while resources were diverted elsewhere, and alleged that the TMC was focused on appeasement politics.
