New Delhi: Royal Challengers Bangalore all-rounder Tim David In IPL 2026 with mumbai indians Sunday at Wankhede Stadium. The incident took place in the 18th over of RCB’s innings when David hit a high six off Hardik Pandya at deep mid-wicket. The hit was so powerful that it changed the shape of the ball and made it wet, forcing the umpire to call for a replacement. When the box of used balls was brought out, David picked one up and started playing with it casually. Despite repeated calls for the ball to be returned, the Australian continued to play with the ball, much to the referee’s visibly annoyed displeasure. After a short delay, David finally returned the ball, restoring smiles to the atmosphere on the court.Rohit Sharma also joined in and shared a light-hearted moment with David, an incident that elicited laughter from the audience.Earlier, the RCB’s supreme order dominated the proceedings. Skipper Rajat Patidar scored impressive half-centuries along with Phil Salt and Virat Kohli to give the defending champions a mammoth 240/4, their second-highest total of the season.Salter led the way with 78 off 36 balls, hitting six fours and six sixes, while Kohli steadied the innings with a solid 50 off 38 deliveries. The duo put on a smooth 120-run stand for the opening wicket before Shardul Thakur’s breakthrough.Patidar then continued the momentum and scored 53 runs with 4 boundaries and 5 sixes in just 20 balls as RCB established their authority with a superb batting performance. In reply, Mumbai Indians could make 222/5. RCB won the match by 18 runs
