What is the “X Post Edited” line?

However, social media Quickly turn your attention to the Tweet’s Edit History. Clicking on this option displays an earlier version of the post with an extra line: “Draft – Message from Pakistan Prime Minister on X.” Its timestamp is one minute older than the latest post on PM Shehbaz Sharif’s X profile.

Screenshots labeled by many as the “original version” of the later-edited tweet flooded social media, with many questioning whether Pakistan’s diplomatic message was independently produced or influenced by external factors.

Social media reaction:

The post drew mixed reactions on social media, including some hilarious ones. “Learn to post properly first,” one person wrote. Another commented: “Another prime example of why you should check before copying and pasting content.”

Editing history proves they copied and pasted the entire draft without doing basic proofreading.” Governments around the world make mistakes, but when your prime minister’s official statements about war and deadlines are wrong, it raises serious questions about message discipline and staff quality.A fourth said, “Brother being Prime Minister of Pakistan is just doing a copy-paste job.”
