India advises Iranian nationals to ‘stay put’ for 48 hours as tensions escalate

New Delhi: India on Tuesday issued a warning to its nationals still living in Iran to stay put and stay indoors for the next 48 hours. An advisory shared by the Indian Embassy in Iran on,The statement further added: “Personnel staying in hotels rented by the embassy should stay indoors while maintaining regular contact with the embassy team on site. Everyone must pay close attention to official updates. The embassy’s emergency phone numbers (+989128109115; +989128109109; +989128109102; +989932179359) remain available.”Tensions with Iran continued to escalate as Trump issued a new warning against the Middle Eastern country, saying “an entire civilization will die tonight and never be resurrected.” Trump, meanwhile, gave Tehran a deadline to comply with U.S. demands or face wider action by 8 p.m. ET on Tuesday.The United States and Israel also launched new strikes targeting several key infrastructure locations, including the strategic Khag Island and bridges.
