New Delhi: Chief Minister of Assam Himanta Biswa Sarma on Monday vowed to take “sternest action” against the allegations against Congress leader Pawan Hera. He dismissed the claims as a digitally manipulated “fake AI campaign” and expressed confidence that the BJP would win at least 100 seats in the upcoming assembly elections.“…I will take toughest action against Congress leader Pawan Khera. Wait for a few more days. We will win at least 100 seats in the elections,” Sarma told reporters. The controversy erupted after Keira claimed at a press conference in Delhi that Salma’s wife Riniki Bhuyan Sharma holds three passports – an Emirates Gold Card, an Antigua and Barbuda passport and an Egyptian passport. Khera also claimed that the family has business interests worth Rs 52,000 crore in the United States and produced property documents linking the Sarma family to the Dubai apartment.Sarma dismissed the allegations as politically motivated lies aimed at misleading the people of Assam.

Ahmad and Fatima Sulaiman.”

Riniki Bhuyan Sharma denied all the allegations and stated on X: “I, my children and my husband do not have any business interests or assets anywhere outside Dubai or India.”She also lashed out at Congress leader Gaurav Gogoi, who called for further investigation into the matter. Gogoi called the chief minister “an embarrassment” who “must answer questions and pay for his crimes”.Responding to Gogoi, Sharma questioned whether his wife “has or ever had a bank account in Pakistan” and asked him to make those details public.

Sarma marks document differences

Sarma noted several discrepancies in the alleged documents, including a last name mismatch, a published photo rather than a biometric capture, and misspellings such as “Egyptiann.”He also tagged documents linking him to the Dubai apartment and called all the accusations #CongFakeAICampaignThe escalating confrontation comes days ahead of Assam’s polling, which is scheduled to take place on April 9 in 126 constituencies and counting on May 4.
