Will she take maternity leave?

The New York Post reported that Levitt had said she planned to return to the briefing room after her maternity leave.

Levitt, one of the most prominent figures in the Trump administration, often uses social media to demonstrate how she manages her work and family obligations.

According to multiple media reports including The Sun, discussions within the government have begun about who can temporarily take over her duties during her absence, and several senior communications officials are being considered as temporary replacements.

She previously returned to work shortly after giving birth to her first child in 2024. Three days after giving birth, Leavitt returned to work in response to an assassination attempt on Trump at a campaign event in Butler, Pennsylvania.

Lara Trump also praised her for dispelling doubts that Levitt would be a permanent replacement. She said: “Caroline Levitt is a machine. She’s incredible. But she’s not going anywhere.”
