There was a lot of anticipation surrounding Woods’ photo before it was released. An old photo of the professional golfer also emerged in his DUI case from 2017, when police found him asleep behind the wheel of his car. The vehicle was parked improperly and the driver’s side was damaged. At the time, Woods said it was due to an improper mixing of painkillers.

Tiger Woods accident: everything you need to know

Woods was driving a Land Rover at high speed on a two-lane road near his Jupiter Island home when the accident occurred. The accident occurred when Woods was trying to pass a truck towing a trailer.

His vehicle collided with the trailer, causing the trailer to overturn and land on the driver’s side. Woods managed to climb out of the passenger side before authorities arrived.

Reports also suggested Woods may be released after the mandatory eight-hour detention period required by state law.

Woods showed signs of injury when he arrived on scene, according to law enforcement officials. This sparked a DUI investigation. A breathalyzer test was performed after Woods was brought in, but the results confirmed there was no alcohol in his system.

Of course, this impairment is associated with the possible use of drugs or medications. Woods’ refusal to submit a urine sample only added fuel to the fire and led to additional charges against him. The professional golfer is currently charged with driving under the influence (DUI), property damage and refusing to submit to a lawful test.

Notably, reports have clarified that Woods’ girlfriend Vanessa Trump and her daughter Kay (who happens to be President Donald Trump’s granddaughter) were not in the car at the time of the accident.
