Indian-origin healer in California accused of sexual assault.

A 73-year-old California man who had built a reputation as a “healer” in the local Sikh community has been accused of sexually assaulting four clients during treatment sessions at his Selma home, according to police and court records.Pal Singh was arrested by the Selma Police Department on September 8 and faces four felony counts of sexual assault. The allegations involve four separate victims and incidents that allegedly occurred between June 2023 and July 2025, according to court records obtained by ABC30.Police said Singh was operating what authorities described as an unlicensed chiropractic practice from his home, where he provided treatment services to clients.Investigators said Singh was known within the Sikh community as a “healer” and had developed a following that extended beyond Selma. People reportedly travelled from other parts of California to seek his services, with online reviews indicating that some clients travelled long distances for appointments. One reviewer said they had travelled from Canada for treatment, ABC30 reported.

What police alleged

According to Selma police, investigators began after receiving complaints from clients about inappropriate touching at his residence.“We had multiple complaints from clients about inappropriate touching that was going on at the location, and we were finally able to make an arrest in that case,” Selma Police Commander Tim Cannon told ABC30.The four criminal charges relate to alleged incidents involving four separate victims. Investigators said the alleged assaults occurred during treatment appointments.Police have not publicly detailed what medical or healing problem each person had sought treatment for.Cannon said authorities believe there could be additional victims who have not yet contacted police. Investigators also believe some potential victims could live outside Fresno County because people travelled to Selma to receive treatment from Singh.“We’ve had allegations for several years,” Cannon said, adding that investigators had also received secondhand information about possible additional victims who had not come forward.

Singh described himself as an acupressure practitioner

Court documents filed by Singh’s attorney, Eddie Ruiz, said Singh became a Sikh priest while living in India in his mid-20s and continued his religious work after moving to Selma. A character letter submitted to the court said he served as a priest at the Sikh Center of the Pacific Coast in Selma between 2010 and 2016.Ruiz wrote that Singh later moved into acupressure, receiving training in India and then completing additional online training after moving to California.Neighbors told ABC30 that they regularly saw families arriving at Singh’s residence for appointments. His social media accounts also featured photographs and videos of people who had sought his services, while online reviews indicated that his clients came from outside the immediate area.

Released on bail

Singh was released after posting bail several days after his arrest. In court filings seeking his release, his attorney said Singh wanted to continue working, support his family and assist with his defence.Singh has pleaded not guilty to all four charges. His next court appearance is scheduled for October 27.
