Xiaomi Mi Pad 8 launched in India with Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 SoC and 9,200mAh battery

Xiaomi has expanded its tablet portfolio in India with the launch of Mi Pad 8. The new device follows earlier models such as the Mi Pad 6 and Mi Pad 7 series. With this latest version, the company is targeting users who rely on Android devices for work, content viewing, and digital tasks.

Xiaomi Mi Pad 8: Specs, India price and availability

Xiaomi Mi Pad 8 is available in various configurations in India. The base model with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage is priced at Rs. 33,999, the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variant is priced at Rs. 36,999, while the same configuration with a nano-texture display is priced at Rs. 38,999.

Xiaomi is also offering a bundle option that includes a stylus. The standard bundle with the pen is priced at Rs. 41,999 while the Nano Textured version with pen is priced at Rs 41,999. 43,999. The nano-texture display is designed to reduce glare and reflections, which may help when writing, sketching, or reading for long periods of time.

The tablet will be available in India from March 17 on Xiaomi’s official website, Amazon India and offline retail stores.

Xiaomi Mi Pad 8: Specs and features

Xiaomi Mi Pad 8 is equipped with an 11.2-inch display with a resolution of 3.2K and a refresh rate of 144Hz. The screen supports DC dimming and TÜV Rheinland eye protection certification, which helps reduce fatigue during long-term use. The display is designed to support activities such as streaming videos, playing games, writing notes, and working on documents.

The device is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 processor. This also marks an upgrade compared to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7+ third-generation processor used in the previous Mi Pad 7. In addition, Xiaomi Mi Pad 8 is equipped with a 9,200mAh battery and supports 45W charging. According to the company, this capacity is designed to support extended usage for tasks such as media playback, browsing, and gaming. The battery is larger than the 8,850mAh unit used in the Mi Pad 7.

As for the optics, the device comes with a 13MP rear sensor and an 8MP front camera, which are mainly used for video calling, online classes, and basic photography. The device also includes a four-speaker system with support for Dolby Atmos audio output. Connectivity options on the tablet include Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, and USB Type-C port.
