New Delhi: Chief Minister of West Bengal Mamata Banerjee Allegations that President Trump violated the agreement during his tenure were dismissed on Sunday Draupadi MurmuSiliguri’s show questioned the timing of the criticism and suggested it was “politically motivated”.“You can say whatever you want against Bengal on the eve of the assembly elections. Why? Why? Why?” Didi said at a sit-in platform in the heart of Kolkata. Her comments came after Prime Minister Narendra Modi earlier in the day accused TMC The government “insulted” female tribal leaders and the country’s president. Banerjee responded to the allegation by holding up an enlarged photo of the Prime Minister sitting next to veterans bjp At one event, leader President LK Advani stood nearby.“The photo shows the Prime Minister sitting while the President is standing. We never do that. It is the PPP that has a culture of insulting the President, not us,” she claimed, showing the photo as “evidence”.Banerjee said: “We fully respect the President and the Constitution of India and we consider India to be our mother; don’t blame us.”The chief minister also denied any breach of etiquette during the president’s visit to north Bengal. She said if there was any mismanagement at the event, the responsibility lies with the private organizers and the Airports Authority of India (AAI), which provided the venue.President Draupadi Murmu expressed displeasure on Saturday when she arrived at Bagdogra airport to attend an international tribal conference but found that neither the chief minister nor any cabinet minister was there to greet her. She also expressed concern over the change in venue of the show near Siliguri.Banerjee, however, insisted that the state government was not informed of the details of the President’s visit and that they were not kept secret by private organizers. She added that issues such as litter at the venue, green room issues and lack of women’s toilets should be addressed by the event manager and the AAI hosting the event.“We didn’t choose the venue, you did,” she said.Banerjee also said that Siliguri Mayor Goutam Deb followed the protocol and received the President in Bagdogra.“I sit in the shrine to protect people’s rights, how could I leave?” she said.
