Why is Tyler “Ninja” Blevins taking a break from streaming?

Twitch streamer Tyler “Ninja” Blevins will take a break from streaming. He took direct aim at the constant cheating in Arc Raiders, Embark Studios’ extraction shooter that would become one of his staple games. As soon as the news came out, it triggered heated discussions from all walks of life. Many players now question whether the game can ever be fair again.

Ninja’s Plan Forward

Ninja made this clear during a Twitch stream on April 8. He is not live streaming right now. He won’t play Arc Raiders anymore. Currently, there’s no other game he’s excited to get back into. He said his next stream might be League of Legends or a sports-related game. But he has no timetable, no clear timeline. Arc Raiders used to bring him great content every day. Then the cheating becomes so severe that it becomes impossible to enjoy the game.

Cheating issues in Arc Raiders

Ninja wasn’t the only one feeling uneasy. Since early 2026, Arc Raiders’ PvP lobbies and high-level raids have been filled with cheaters. Players vent their emotions on Reddit and social media almost every day. Schroeder also addressed these issues. Embark Studios says they are making significant changes to anti-cheating. They have banned thousands of players and started returning items lost to hackers. Still, many say it’s not enough.

What Ninja’s break means for gaming

Ninjas have exploded in the Fortnite era. He became one of the biggest spokespersons for Arc Raiders when it launched in late 2025. Losing him hurts more than just one anchor’s channel. Big streamers like Ninja bring a lot of new eyes to gaming on Twitch. Without them, visibility drops quickly. The reaction from the community was mixed – some people totally understood him, others didn’t. But almost everyone agrees: The cheating has to stop.

What happens next?

Ninja hasn’t said when he’ll be back or what will bring him back. His breakthrough reveals a larger problem with live gaming in 2026. Great gameplay is no longer enough. Players and creators also need a level playing field. If Embark doesn’t address this cheating issue soon, Arc Raiders may lose even more big streamers and fans.
