Whoopi Goldberg explains why she was included in ‘The View’ on Tuesday Epstein Fileswhile denying that she had anything to do with Jeffrey Epstein. The Sister Act actress’ name does appear in the document.
“In the name of transparency, my name is on file. Yes!” Goldberg said.
She then went on to read emails from May 2013 in which she was named and said she needed a “plane to travel to Monaco” for a charity event.
Epstein declined his request for a plane, writing: “No thanks.”
Goldberg’s co-host Joy Behar then said: “So in other words, anyone can be on this list?”
“That’s my point because when I tell you, people are trying to turn me into…I’m not his girlfriend, I’m not his friend. Not only am I too old [for him]but that wasn’t the case in that era — you used to have to know the facts before you spoke,” Goldberg responded.
Behar then interjected that Donald Trump was mentioned “38,000 times” in Epstein’s documents.

“I can’t talk to him, but I’m talking about myself because I’m being dragged,” Goldberg responded. “People actually believe I’m with him. It’s like honey, come on. Every man I’ve ever been with, you know, because either the National Enquirer has written about it or people have written these things. So, no.”
She added, “I didn’t get on the plane because you know what I had to do to get on the plane? They were trying to get me on the plane [to go to the charity event]”.
Co-host Sarah Hayne noted that other celebrities, such as Elvis Presley and Marilyn Monroe, were included in the documents due to “news articles, third-party emails, contacts.” “Wealthy celebrities often cross paths in professional and social circles, so this is not surprising,” Haynes added.
Goldberg has been outspoken about the Epstein dossier and recently criticized fellow women who were “complicit” in the convicted sex offender’s crimes. “Not only do they protect each other, but we are complicit in all of this. We are complicit,” she said in “The View.”

When Goldberg’s co-hosts asked her where she stood, she responded: “Women don’t say, ‘Hey, don’t do that. Don’t stand up for that.'” Women are not standing up for other women. Women saw what was going on and they didn’t say, “Stop it.” They didn’t come forward and say it was happening. “
