U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) rescue swimmer Tyler Jaggers died after suffering serious injuries while performing a high-risk medical evacuation mission off the coast of Washington state, according to the Coast Guard Rescue Helicopter Association.
“During a helicopter medical evacuation off the coast of Washington state, Taylor suffered serious injuries while being deployed to a large vessel,” the U.S. Coast Guard Rescue Swim Team said on Instagram.
According to Collin Rugg, close friends of Jaggers say Jaggers is preparing to propose to his girlfriend.
Jaggers’ family proposed on his behalf in front of those who cared most about him. His fiancée said: “His dad put the ring on my finger and put it next to his bed.”
