Marc Brock, a 25-year-old police officer, and his mother and fiancée were shot and killed while serving a search warrant in the 1700 block of North Pine Street. His mother, Shirley Bullock-Dennis, and Mark Taylor Bullock’s fiancée will attend Trump’s prime-time address.
“It is my great honor to host Shirley Brock-Dennis and Cambree Smith — the mother and fiancée of Vivian Police Officer Mark Brock — as my State of the Union speakers,” Johnson said in an interview with Fox News Digital. “Officer Brock was tragically killed in the line of duty last November.”
Bullock, a lifelong resident of Vivian, began his career with the Vivian Police Department as a dispatcher at age 20, according to KSLA. After a year, he became a part-time officer, and soon after, he became a full-time officer.
During the search warrant, upon Officer Brock’s arrival at the suspect’s residence at approximately 5:30 p.m., the suspect fired multiple shots through the closed door, striking Officer Brock. The suspect then locked himself inside the house until he eventually surrendered. beat with law enforcement officers around 9:10 p.m.
Officer Brock was transported to North Caddo Medical Center, where he died from his injuries.
The suspect was arrested and charged with second-degree murder and cyberstalking.
Nicholas Edward Alexander, 58, of Vivian, is charged with first-degree murder in connection with Bullock’s death on Feb. 10, 2026.
Additionally, Alexander was charged with three misdemeanor counts of cyberstalking, alleging that on or about November 10, 2025, he used email or other forms of electronic communications to threaten, harass, or instill fear in three different individuals.
Alexander is currently being held at Caddo Correctional Center without bond.
