Jada West is a student at Mason Creek Middle School. She was hospitalized due to serious illness brain damage He died at a children’s hospital in Atlanta after an altercation last week, local media reported.
The Douglas County School System said the fight occurred outside of school and outside of school hours. Villarrica authorities confirmed that the Villarrica Police Department is investigating the incident.

Jada West, a 12-year-old middle school student in Douglas County, Georgia, was remembered by family and classmates as a bright kid whose life was cut short after a violent incident.
Last Thursday, Jada got into a fight with another student after her two children got off the school bus, according to a lengthy account of the incident shared by Jada’s aunt on TikTok.
In a brief video shared by her aunt, Jada can be seen yelling: “I don’t know why you got out of the car” after getting out of the car, before vowing to fight anyone who tries to make physical contact with her. The family claims a fight ensued, but the video does not describe what happened next.
According to Jada’s family, she had been the victim of bullying and a group of children followed her off the school bus before an argument turned violent. Douglas County authorities are currently investigating the circumstances of the incident and whether charges will be filed.
Her aunt said Jada collapsed after fleeing the fighting before she could reach her home.

According to a statement from Aunt Jada Tik TokAfter a bus ride home, the fight escalated, leaving West seriously injured. She was rushed to an Atlanta hospital, where doctors treated her for a traumatic brain injury in the intensive care unit.
Jada spent several days in the hospital before her family revealed the news of her death, leaving loved ones distraught and searching for the truth. In their statement, they questioned why the adults present did not stop the fight sooner and claimed the situation should never have gotten so bad.
The family is now demanding an investigation and says the city, school system and other parties could face legal action.
The Douglas County School System confirmed the student’s death in a statement and expressed condolences to the family. “She will be remembered by her teachers, classmates and all who knew her,” they wrote in a statement.
They further stated, “This incident did not occur on school property or during school hours, and there is no indication that it was related to any on-campus activity. Therefore, the matter falls within the jurisdiction of the Villarrica Police Department.”
