Who is Hector Delion, the Penn Station stabbing suspect who was arrested after injuring five people?

Hector Delion, 51, a homeless and emotionally disturbed man, was arrested in connection with a horrific stabbing Sunday night at Penn Station, New York City’s largest transportation hub. According to officials, Amtrak police first responded to a slashing attack around 7 p.m. At that time, five victims had been slashed and all were sent to the hospital. Delion was arrested at the scene, where a knife was found.One of the victims, Henry Obadiah, recalled the horror of the stabbing and told the New York Post that he didn’t even realize he had been slashed in the face. “He came at me and wanted to kill me! I saw the anger in his eyes,” Obadiah said. It was a random attack, and Obadiah stood in front of Delion. “This crazy guy stared at me and then he surrounded me! He hit me right in the face and I was like, ‘What the hell?’ I heard the guy on the escalator say, ‘He’s got a knife! He’s got a knife!'”“I didn’t realize my face was scratched,” he said.Obadiah thought he had been punched until he saw his reflection on the phone. “I thought he just punched me. I felt like my lip was broken and I saw blood, but I looked at my phone and saw a big cut on my face and I ran up to the police and said, ‘I just got assaulted,'” he said.Obadiah walked with police along a large blood trail and saw another young victim sitting on the floor, covering his wounds with a towel.“My heart goes out to all those injured, their loved ones, and everyone shocked by this unacceptable violence. I wish each victim a speedy and full recovery,” Mayor Zohran Mamdani posted after the incident. “I thank the Amtrak Police Department and first responders for their quick action to apprehend the suspect and provide emergency care.”
