Glover was the mission pilot. He is a NASA astronaut and U.S. Navy captain who was the first black astronaut to reside permanently on the International Space Station. He spent six months on the Crew-1 mission.

Glover earned a bachelor’s degree in engineering as a two-sport athlete. He is a Navy pilot and former test pilot for the F/A-18 Hornet, Super Hornet and EA-18G Growler.
