Jacob WenskeThe 26-year-old was detained on Wednesday and charged with two counts of making a terrorist threat causing public fear of grievous bodily harm.

Alleged remarks about Erica Kirk

The case focuses on threats related to the Turning Point USA Women’s Leadership Summit, scheduled for June 5-7 at the San Antonio Marriott River Center.

Erica Kirk, the widow of slain activist Charlie Kirk, is expected to speak at the event.

According to an arrest affidavit obtained by the San Antonio Express-News, Wenske allegedly left several threatening comments under a Facebook post promoting the summit.

“I know exactly where to bomb,” he allegedly wrote in response to the event announcement.

Investigators also highlighted another comment Wenske allegedly posted, which read: “I can’t wait to be her valet,” referring to Erica Kirk.

Authorities reportedly found the comment particularly egregious because Winske previously worked for a parking management company that provided valet parking for hotels and large events.

Earlier email threat allegedly linked to suspect

During the course of the investigation, authorities allegedly linked Wenske to an email sent to Turning Point America in January that contained further threats of violence.

“Go to hell Erica Kirk and every speaker out there!” the email allegedly said, according to the affidavit. The message also reportedly threatened bombings against Turning Point rallies and events, as well as attacking “Christian nationalists.”

Investigators used IP records, email data and phone information to link Facebook accounts and email addresses to Wenske, law enforcement officials said.

The affidavit also alleges that a review of Wenske’s online activity found that he repeatedly made hostile statements toward Turning Point USA figures and supporters.

Security tightened ahead of summit

Turning Point USA has reportedly increased security for its upcoming San Antonio event following the threat. The group reportedly deployed extra police, private security personnel and bomb-sniffing dogs.

Wenske is currently being held in the Bexar County Jail with bail set at $120,000.

Authorities have not said whether any explosives were found or whether they believe the alleged threat went beyond online posts and emails.
