Beyond diplomacy, the deal carries broader ambitions. At the most practical level, the agreement is about Arab states formally recognizing Israel and establishing diplomatic relations with it.

Now, in his second term, Trump is pushing hard to expand the agreement. He has asked Saudi Arabia, Qatar, PakistanTürkiye, Egypt and Jordan immediately joined. Trump posted on “Truth Social”: “I will force all countries to sign the Abraham Accords immediately.
