What happened at the U.S. Consulate in Toronto? Authorities investigate ‘absolutely unacceptable’ shooting

Canadian police investigating shooting near U.S. consulate toronto There were reports that shots were fired into the building early Tuesday. According to the Toronto Police Service, officers arrived at the scene just before 05:30 local time (09:30 GMT) and began checking the area for evidence.

"Evidence of a firearm discharge has been found," toronto Police Action is released on X on Tuesday.

Police said there were no reports of injuries and no suspects had been found. Streets around the consulate have been closed while officials continue to investigate.

“The shooting at the U.S. Consulate early this morning was an act of violence and intimidation against our American friends and neighbors that is absolutely unacceptable,” Ontario Premier Doug Ford said in a statement.
