New Delhi: Despite two consecutive defeats in IPL 2026, Delhi Capitals head coach breath dancer remains confident that his side have identified their flaws and are ready to respond, insisting that the team has “identified” areas of concern ahead of Saturday’s crucial Indian Premier League clash against Royal Challengers Bangalore.Delhi have slipped into the bottom half of the table after losses to Gujarat Titans and Chennai Super Kings, but Badani played down concerns about momentum and instead focused on clarity within the squad.IPL 2026: GT vs KKR Live Score“We have solved the problem”“There’s a lot of talk about momentum in tournaments like this,” Badani told a pre-match press conference. “But I think it’s more about finding out what areas a certain side is concerned about. We’ve figured it out, or at least we think we’ve figured it out.”

Backing the performance of the batsmen, Badani noted that the team has maintained a competitive total.“We scored 190 and 200. We lost a game by one run. In the last game too, we scored around 180-190. The question is whether our batsmen are good at that point in time. I think we will be fine,” he added.Faith in young people remains firmBadani also threw his weight behind young pacer Auqib Nabi, who endured a tough debut against CSK, conceding 17 runs in two overs.“We worked hard for him for two reasons – his temperament and his consistency,” Badani explained. “He kept his balance. A lot of players react differently to the ups and downs, but he was the same throughout.”“He has the ability to play at a higher level. Everyone is nervous for the first game, but I think he will do a good job for us,” he added.RCB faces serious challengesLed by an in-form squad, RCB has emerged as one of the most balanced teams this season despite DC’s search for stability Virat Kohlicurrently holds an orange cap. Crucially, RCB’s batting no longer revolves solely around Kohli, with contributions from Rajat Patidar, Devdutt Padikkal, Phil Salt and Tim David bolstering their squad.Patidar has been particularly good, topping the season’s six-hit leaderboard.Inconsistency remains a major issue for Delhi. Experienced players like KL Rahul, David Miller and Tristan Stubbs have struggled to find their rhythm, while captain Axar Patel and spinner Kuldeep Yadav are yet to hit their best form.
