U.S. President Donald Trump said on Tuesday that U.S. and Israeli military operations against Iran were “going very well” and claimed the damage caused could take at least a decade to rebuild.According to ANI, Trump said: “The war is going well… We can’t let them have nuclear weapons… They will be happy to use it… We are doing a good job… Whenever you see someone with no legs, no arms, a severely damaged face, and a life destroyed, there is a 95% chance that it is coming from Iran.”
He further claimed that Iran’s infrastructure has been severely weakened and suggested that the impact should be long-lasting. “They can leave today and it will take a decade to rebuild the damage. But I think we have to make it more permanent so no other president has to go through this,” he added. His Vice President, J.D. Vance, echoed the administration’s stance and cited threats from regional militias. “We’ve had a lot of militia attacks on bases or embassies in Iran… There are a lot of terrorists in that part of the world, and when we find them, we have to eliminate them,” Vance was quoted as saying by the agency. The comments come as U.S. and Israeli forces continue to conduct targeted strikes against Iranian military infrastructure, including missile facilities.U.S. Central Command said on Wednesday that the U.S. military deployed “multiple 5,000-pound deep-penetrating munitions” against fortified missile sites on Iran’s coastline near the Strait of Hormuz. The command said in a post onThe attacks were part of an ongoing campaign launched jointly by the United States and Israel on February 28 to target Iran’s military capabilities amid rising tensions in the region.
