Wayne County suspect update: Police release first details after 3 deaths; ‘White Subaru Outback’

What happened in Wayne County?

Utah-based KSL.com reports that the Utah Department of Public Safety received information that at least two women were found dead on a hiking trail. A third person was found dead at home. Their names have not yet been released. We don’t know if their deaths are related.

“As the investigation is ongoing and the suspect is at large, law enforcement urges residents of Tory and the surrounding area to take extra precautions such as locking their doors, staying home or with others, and remaining alert to their surroundings. Please report any suspicious activity to 911,” the Department of Public Safety said.

First details of suspect

Meanwhile, the Sevier County Emergency Management Team said they are searching for a 2022 white Subaru Outback that may be involved in a suspicious death in Wayne County. Subaru’s license plate number is U560YF.

“If you have seen this vehicle within the past 24 hours, please contact dispatch at 435-896-6471,” the emergency management team posted on social media.

“Please report any alarm-causing situations to the Wayne County Dispatch Hotline at 1-800-356-8757,” the Sheriff’s Office added.

“Due to recent events in Wayne County today, WCSO All residents are asked to take extra precautions by keeping their lights on, locking their doors and staying home or with others if possible tonight. The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office and other law enforcement agencies are taking action to ensure the safety of all residents. Please report any alarm-causing situations to our Wayne County Dispatch Hotline at 1-800-356-8757. Please do not call dispatch to answer questions, only provide legal information,” said Wayne County officials.

The suspect’s identity has not been revealed.
