A private investigator advises Nancy Guthrie’s Potential kidnappings may be criminal acts committed as a result of hasty decisions by amateurs. Lisa Ribacoff-Mooney, a polygraph expert and owner of Interpoint Investigative Services, told RadarOnline.com that it was “possible” that the 84-year-old was targeted because of her daughter Savannah Guthrie’s fame and “financial situation.” However, she added, Nancy’s home could also have been chosen for a completely different crime.
“I think it’s a Burglary gone wrong This led to the kidnapping,” Ribakov-Mooney said.
Ribakov-Mooney added that Nancy may have panicked during the robbery and “revealed who she was and who her daughter was as a motive for the perpetrator to leave the residence.” At that point, she explained, the suspect may have decided to kidnap Nancy for ransom.

Ribakov-Mooney has previously said Nancy might even be dead now, which would make finding her very difficult.
“It’s more difficult because the authorities don’t know where to look,” she said of cases in which police try to find bodies. “It’s a needle in a haystack.”
“If the kidnapped person [was] Moving by any mode of transportation, they may not even be in the state where the original crime occurred,” she added.
Savannah was the long-time host of the “Today” show after Nancy disappeared. Now, she’s finally back on the morning show, giving her first television interview since the nightmare began.

“We’re in pain. It’s unbearable,” Savannah said during the sit-down preview. “I wake up in the middle of the night, every night. In the dark, I imagine her fear. It’s unimaginable, but these thoughts need to be thought about. I won’t hide my face. But she needs to go home now.”
Nancy was last seen just before 10pm on January 31, when she had dinner with her daughter Anne and her son-in-law Tommaso Scioni. The name of the suspect in Nancy’s disappearance has not yet been released.
