Vivek Ramaswamy’s wife campaigns for him in new ad for Ohio gubernatorial election, introduces ‘Savitri’ in spoof

Vivek RamaswamyWife Apurva, who is campaigning for Ramaswamy for the first time in the Ohio gubernatorial election, introduces their newborn Savitri to the world in a new ad and shakes off previous and future trolling. “Bringing a new baby home puts everything into perspective. I’m Apurva Ramaswamy. Nothing means more to my husband, Vivek, than being a father. He knows that Ohio families are working hard but falling behind. Like every parent, he wants safe communities, great schools, and a state where hard work means you can afford housing, groceries, and a future. Vivek is running for governor to give every family a fair chance at a better life, so Ohio’s future is here.In the ad video, Vivek Ramaswamy’s family, his children meet their sister Savithri and Vivek kisses his newborn baby. When Ramaswamy revealed the name of his daughter, he was viciously accused of having all his children with Indian names. Similar trolling started immediately after the new video was released, with people commenting that Vivek was so unpopular that his wife now had to campaign for him.

Reaction to Vivek Ramaswamy’s new campaign ad featuring Apoorva and children

  • “More Hoosiers. Got it,” wrote Kathy Pucci, who calls himself the Republican candidate in Ohio’s election, despite President Donald Trump’s endorsement of Vivek as a candidate.
  • One wrote: “We will send your family back to India where you belong.”
  • Another wrote: “People dislike him so much that his wife must campaign for him.”
  • “The only America in this video is the white girl on the school bus,” one user wrote.

Ramaswamy spends $10 million on ads ahead of election

Ramaswamy’s campaign spent $10 million on ads that will run on television until the election. According to reports, with more than 230 days until the election, the acquisition is unprecedented. Breitbart News reports that Ramaswamy’s campaign raised so much money that it was able to squander it on television ads. The ad buy will be a permanent fixture on broadcast and cable television through Election Day in November, the campaign told Breitbart News. “We are going up and not going down until November,” Jonathan Ewing, campaign manager for Vivek Ramaswamy in Ohio, said in a statement provided to Breitbart News.
