After the report was released, some popular social media comments claimed the Alaska was heading towards the Mediterranean. However, there is no evidence or reports to support these claims.

The GBC added that the Ohio-class fleet includes 14 ballistic missile submarines and four guided missile submarines. The report states that each submarine is approximately 171 meters long and has an underwater displacement of nearly 18,750 tons, making it one of the largest submarines operated by the U.S. Navy.

Trump slams Iran’s response

Shortly after Trump publicly criticized Iran’s response to a U.S.-backed proposal to reduce hostilities in West Asia and the Gulf.

“I just read the response from the so-called ‘representative’ of Iran. I don’t like it – totally unacceptable! Thank you for your attention to this matter,” Trump wrote in an article published on Truth Social.

Iran had earlier responded to the U.S. proposal through Pakistani mediators, state media reported. “The Islamic Republic of Iran today responded through Pakistani mediators to the latest text proposed by the United States to end the war,” the state-run Islamic Republic News Agency reported.

“Under the proposed plan, the current phase of negotiations will focus on ending the war in the region,” the report added.

Iran demands sanctions relief and troop withdrawal

Tehran’s proposal reportedly includes a number of conditions for Washington, including demands to “lift sanctions on Iran,” lift the “blockade of Iranian ports,” and ensure that the United States “withdraws its troops from the region.”

The proposal also reportedly calls on the United States to “cease all hostilities,” including calling for an end to “Israeli’s war in Lebanon.”

Trump claims Iran’s military has been disbanded

In an interview with Sharyl Atkison that aired on Sunday, Trump claimed that the United States was closely monitoring Iran’s stockpiles of enriched uranium and warned Tehran not to try to move them.

“They have no navy, no air force, no anti-aircraft weapons, no leadership,” Trump said. The 79-year-old further argued that Iran’s military infrastructure had been damaged and suggested it would take decades for the country to recover.

He added that if the United States immediately withdraws its troops, Iran will take “20 years to rebuild.”

Trump says military action may continue

Trump also said Washington’s military objectives in the region were not yet fully accomplished. According to the president, about 70 percent of the intended targets may have been destroyed, but he hinted that more action could still be taken.
