“No King” protesters gathered across the United States from coast to coast on Saturday, March 28, in the third such coordinated demonstration against the policies and actions of President Donald Trump’s second term. More than 3,000 events are expected to take place nationwide.
On Saturday, demonstrators held rallies in California, Tennessee, Ohio, New Jersey, Delaware, Florida, Texas, Washington, D.C. and other locations. The rally in St. Paul, Minnesota, included such high-profile figures as the state’s governor, Tim Walz, Sen. Bernie Sanders, actress Jane Fonda and Rep. Ilhan Omar. Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter Bruce Springsteen also performed “Streets of Minneapolis,” USA Today reported.
Demonstrators marched and stood in large groups on the main streets. They waved signs, chanted slogans and cheered as cars drove by.
Like the previous “No” King protests, this one was also aimed at denouncing Trump’s decisions and policies. The No Kings website mentioned the specific criticisms of the protesters on March 28. These issues range from ICE arrests and deaths to Iran’s conflict with the United States.

“Masked secret police terrorize our communities. An illegal, catastrophic war that puts us at risk and increases our costs. An attack on our free speech, our civil rights, our freedom to vote. The costs push families to the breaking point. Trump wants to rule us as a tyrant. But this is America, and power belongs to the people, not to wannabe kings or their billionaire cronies,” reads the No King website.
“On March 28, we showed up together and we said loud and clear: There is no king,” it added.
The statement further said, “As President Trump tightens his grip on us, we the people have a responsibility to show that we will fight to protect each other and our country. If he thinks we will roll over and allow him to take away our freedoms, he is wrong. We will come together again on March 28 because we know that when we unite, we can overcome this repression.”
