His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, has approved the recruitment of 330 Emirati citizens in municipalities across the emirate, a move aimed at strengthening the country’s workforce participation and improving public services. The program covers university graduates and high school diploma holders and is positioned as part of wider efforts to support UAE graduates, strengthen national capabilities and improve the efficiency of municipal operations across multiple cities. A large part of the recruitment is concentrated in Sharjah Municipality, which has allocated 120 positions specifically for Emiratis holding high school certificates to support the field inspection department. The remaining 210 positions are spread across cities in the emirate, ensuring wider geographical coverage and operational support. Sharjah Municipality will receive 94 of the positions, followed by Khorfakkan with 27 positions and Kalba with 30 positions. The additional allocation includes 10 jobs in Dibba Al Hisn, 20 jobs in Al Dhaid, 6 jobs in Al Madam, 9 jobs in Mleiha, 9 jobs in Al Bataeh and 5 jobs in Al Hamriyah. The recruitment drive aims to strengthen municipal capacity while providing employment opportunities for Emiratis, in conjunction with ongoing efforts to strengthen local governance and improve the quality of services provided to residents across the emirate.
