The Pentagon on Wednesday released the last two names of the six U.S. service members killed in a drone strike in Kuwait on Sunday, identifying them as Chief Warrant Officer Robert Mazan, 54, of Sacramento, California, and Maj. Jeffrey O’Brien, 45, of Indianola, Iowa.

According to the Ministry of National Defense, Mazan was at the command center in the port of Shuaiba when the attack occurred. He is believed to have died on the spot, pending final confirmation by forensics. Major O’Brien is a signals officer and information systems engineer with a twenty-year career in cybersecurity.

The other four soldiers identified prior to Tuesday were:

Sgt. Declan Coady, 20, West Des Moines, Iowa (posthumously promoted to specialist)

Sgt. Private First Class Nicole Amor, 39, of White Bear Lake, Minn.

Capt. Cody Khork, 35, Winter Haven, Fla.

Sgt. First Prize Noah Tietjens, 42, Bellevue, Neb.

All six victims were members of the 103rd Sustainment Command, an Army Reserve unit that provides critical logistics and supplies.

The deadly attack came a day after the United States and Israel launched “Operation Epic Fury” against Iran, triggering retaliatory drone and missile strikes across the Gulf.
