President of the United States Donald Trump Three U.S. Navy destroyers were attacked while passing through the Strait of Hormuz, but no damage was caused in the incident, it was claimed on Thursday. He also warned Iran that it would take stronger military action if it did not agree to quickly sign the agreement.“Three world-class American destroyers have just very successfully sailed out of the Strait of Hormuz under fire,” Trump wrote in an article published in Truth Social. “The three destroyers did not suffer any damage, but the Iranian attackers took huge damage. They were completely destroyed along with many small boats that are being used to replace the completely decapitated Navy.”The incident comes amid rising tensions in and around the Strait of Hormuz, a vital global shipping route that has seen recent attacks and counterattacks reported by both the United States and Iran.

Trump described the attack in his post, saying missiles fired at U.S. ships were intercepted and drones were destroyed in the air, calling them “like a butterfly in its grave.”“Missiles are fired at our destroyers and are easily shot down. Likewise, drones come and are incinerated in the sky. They fall into the ocean so beautifully, like a butterfly falling into its grave!” he further wrote.Trump issued a strong warning to Iran, saying the country would face more intense military action if a deal was not reached quickly.“If they don’t sign the agreement soon, we will crack down on them even harder and more violently in the future,” he wrote. He also said that Iran is not a “normal country” and called it a country led by a “madman”.“A normal country would allow these destroyers to pass, but Iran is not a normal country. They are led by a madman,” Trump wrote. He also reiterated his long-held claim that Tehran must never be allowed to acquire nuclear weapons.Trump also said the three destroyers would now return to what he described as a U.S. naval blockade of the region.“Our three destroyers and their outstanding crews will now rejoin our naval blockade, which is truly a ‘wall of steel,'” he wrote. The comments came hours after reports of military exchanges in and around the Strait of Hormuz. The U.S. military targeted Iranian military facilities, which carried out “unprovoked” missile, drone and small boat attacks on U.S. warships transiting the strait, according to U.S. Central Command. The U.S. military said no U.S. assets were hit during the incident. However, Iranian state media accused the United States of violating the ceasefire agreement by launching attacks on Iranian territory and civilian coastal areas near Qeshm Island, Bandar Kamil and Sirik, and warned that the United States would respond “devastatingly” to any further aggression.
