Conservative commentator and former Fox News host Tucker Carlson also raised questions. “No two countries have the same priorities. That’s why linking our military to foreign powers in a war should be illegal,” he said on X.
Many began claiming that the United States was joining in the Israeli attack because of the golden pager Netanyahu gave Trump. The social media profiles speculated that the pager was not a gift but a threat from one world leader to another.
Some sources online claim that the golden pager given to Trump was actually a threat.

Another added, “Remember the gold pager? A rather tasteless gift from a ‘good friend’ and ‘ally’. Open your eyes. Netanyahu’s threat to Trump.”
Another one explain “I thought the golden pager that Netanyahu gave to President Trump was a veiled threat. I didn’t think so at the time, but after Rubio’s initial comments about supporting Israel in its fight against Iran, and all the comments coming out of Israel, it seems like it was more than just a gift.”

However, despite these claims, there is no indication that golden pagers were or are a threat. It was a gift given to Trump when world leaders met for the first time in his second term.
The pager was a reference to Israel’s Operation Reaper, a series of pager bombings targeting Hezbollah networks during the ongoing conflict with Hamas. The surgery will be performed in September 2024.
