Donald Trump blames former President Joe Biden and Illinois governor JB Pritzker for Sheridan Gormanan 18-year-old Loyola University student, was shot 25-year-old Venezuelan immigrant Jose Medina-Medina Last Thursday, she and a group of friends walked to the pier at Toby Prints Beach to see the Northern Lights. On Wednesday, March 25, Trump spoke at the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) annual fundraising dinner in Washington, D.C., railing against their immigration policies.
“The illegal alien monster charged with the brutal murder of Sheridan was illegally brought from Venezuela and released into our country by Sleepy Joe Biden…the pathetic, worst president ever,” Trump said.

Trump said Medina “was then arrested again in the sanctuary city of Chicago and released again by Democratic Governor JB Pritzker, one of the worst governors in the history of our country.”
The suspect illegally crossed the border in May 2023 when Biden was president and was later released back home.
“Democratic politicians don’t care how much American blood they have shed in their frenzied pursuit of open borders,” the president said.
Trump added that “corrupt Democratic officials who sought to restore public safety … and conspired to obstruct federal law” must be held accountable.
Trump later said it would be “easier” for federal law enforcement to solve Chicago’s crime problems if Pritzker, whom he calls a “slacker,” invited them to join him.
“We could go to Chicago if that slob would let him — if he would just say, ‘Mr. President, please come. People are being killed here all the time. Please come.’ I’d come and you wouldn’t actually be committing a crime,” Trump said. “Chicago would be easy for us, but they don’t want to say that because I think they actually like it.”
“I don’t know, they’re patients,” he added.
Chicago police arrested Medina-Medina shortly after Gorman’s murder. Authorities used facial recognition software to compare images from surveillance footage to U.S. Customs and Border Protection records. CPD investigators said in the arrest report that the images matched Medina-Medina.
He faces first-degree murder and weapons charges, ABC 7 reported.
