Trump and Melania face criticism

Their comments were condemned because of references to Iranian children killed in the conflict as a result of U.S. military operations.

“Shameless liars!!! You are fighting for the Zionists and Iranian oil,” one person wrote.

“Bulls—Trump is bombing schools and hospitals, killing children and civilians, and he’s threatening to bomb power plants and desalination plants,” another commented.

“On the first day of the war, Trump killed 168 schoolchildren while they were in class. Now he threatens to send the country back to the Stone Age,” a third user commented.

Another said: “Nothing exemplifies ‘keep the kids safe’ more than a Tomahawk cruise missile hitting a school, killing 170 schoolgirls.”

Trump issues Stone Age warning to Iran

In April, Trump addressed the nation and threatened to bomb Iran to “send them back to the Stone Age.” At a White House press conference on April 6, he reiterated his previous statement about destroying Iran’s infrastructure.

On February 28, the United States and Israel launched a coordinated attack on Iran. Trump authorized the attack without congressional approval. An airstrike on a girls’ primary school in southern Iran killed more than 175 civilians, including more than 100 primary school students.
