The Yug-Eugene-Bharat Museum transforms the seat of power into a symbol of civilizational continuity: Prime Minister

New Delhi: Prime Minister mentions ‘Yuge Yugeen Bharat Museum’ to be set up in iconic North and South blocks Narendra Modi Emphasizing the transformation of what was once a center of power into a center of culture. The Prime Minister made the remarks during an interaction with Indira Gandhi National Center for the Arts Chairman Ram Bahadur Rai, Member Secretary Dr Sachidanand Joshi and other trustees on Thursday, where he called on the Prime Minister ahead of the institution’s 39th Foundation Day celebrations, according to a statement from the Culture Ministry. The Times of India reported in January that the first gallery of the Yuge Yugeen Bharat Museum, billed as the world’s largest museum, would open in the North End by the end of this year. The museum and all its galleries are expected to be completed within three years. In an article published on X on Thursday night, the Prime Minister said he “discussed various aspects related to further popularizing India’s diverse culture.”“We have also explored how we can engage more people on this journey, strengthen promotion through digital and grassroots initiatives, and support artists and academics to protect and celebrate our rich heritage,” the Prime Minister said.“While telling us about the many initiatives taken by the government to create awareness about culture, the Prime Minister cited the example of the Yuge Yugeen Bharat Museum project. He said that this reflects the importance given by the government to culture as earlier the north and south blocks symbolized the seat of power but now things have changed as space has been provided for the sake of continuity of civilization to create a museum where future generations can come and understand Indian culture,” Joshi told TOI.He also said that the Prime Minister asserted the need to create awareness about history and heritage across the country and to engage with the youth of urban and rural India.“The Prime Minister also emphasized the importance of understanding Bharat through the feeling of ‘Swa’,” the culture ministry said in a statement.
