BENGALURU: Hindustan Defense Aerospace Ltd (HAL) on Monday refuted reports that a Light Combat Aircraft (LCA) Tejas fighter went missing in a crash earlier this month, saying LCA maintained one of the best safety records in the world.“HAL acknowledges the recent media reports on the LCA Tejas incident and wishes to provide factual clarification. There are no reports of LCA Tejas crash. The incident was a minor technical accident on the ground,” the PSU said.It added: “LCA Tejas fighter maintains one of the best safety records in the world among contemporary fighter jets. The issue is being analyzed in depth as a standard operating procedure and HAL is working with indian air force (International Air Force) seeks a quick resolution. “
