Even while celebrating a crushing, epoch-making victory, Gambhir used the moment to remind everyone what really matters.

“I think my simple philosophy for Surya has always been that milestones don’t matter. What matters is trophies,” Gambhir said of the T20 captain Suryakumar Yadav. “In Indian cricket, we talk about milestones for too long. I hope, until I get there, we won’t talk about milestones.”The former India opener, who also scored the highest score for his team in two international ICC finals during his playing days, did not mince words while talking to the media.
