Lamb drew national attention as the sheriff of Pinal County, Arizona, with a congressional campaign focused on his law enforcement credentials and conservative message.
He wrote a memoir in 2020 called America’s Sheriff: Traditional Values in the Modern World, while Janelle Lamb published a companion-style political memoir called The Sheriff’s Wife: Everything Behind the Politics.

The report also accuses Lamb and his wife of exchanging provocative photos and explicit messages with others within what was described as a small, private circle.
3. Lambs’ conduct allegedly contributed to the breakdown of the marriage
One woman, Jillian Stannard, claimed that Lamb caused the breakdown of her marriage by facilitating a relationship between his wife, Janel, and Matt Hilsabeck, Stannard’s then-husband, one of Lamb’s close friends and the former chairman of the Board of Selectmen.
In addition to accusing the Lambs of breaking up her marriage, Stannard said the Lambs unexpectedly sent her a black-and-white photo of his penis. She also claimed he was part of a small group that exchanged photos and sexual favors.
Screenshots allegedly taken from Lamb’s phone show him posing with his shirt off, flexing his muscles, while a woman says: “Oh, I want to taste your sweat.”

According to Lamb’s talk daily mailread, “Please stop posting…I will call DPS [Arizona Department of Public Safety]”. Lamb allegedly told Peacock that he could order DPS “not to proceed.” “My wife said she agreed with that, too,” he continued.
Former Pinal County Prosecutor Kent Volkmer reportedly confirmed that there had been discussions about possible charges against the women who went public with the accusations, but ultimately no criminal charges were filed.
5. These allegations have circulated in Arizona politics for years
This kind of controversy is nothing new. Allegations related to Lamb’s personal life surfaced during early political campaigns, including during his 2020 re-election bid for sheriff, when opponents distributed fliers accusing him of sexual misconduct and sending explicit photos.

In a sex discrimination lawsuit, Goulden claimed Miller made “inappropriate sexual comments” to her about Lamb and said, “You know Mark and Janelle are swingers.”
However, former Arizona Supreme Court Justice Andrew Gould, who is currently employed by Lamb’s campaign, told The Arizona Republic that these stories have “circulated online for years” and are “repeated without verification, often only causing enormous reputational and political damage.”
Lamb also denied the accusations and dismissed them as political gossip.
