He wrote a memoir in 2020 called America’s Sheriff: Traditional Values ​​in the Modern World, while Janelle Lamb published a companion-style political memoir called The Sheriff’s Wife: Everything Behind the Politics.

The accusations are particularly shocking because they stand in stark contrast to the public image Lamb envisioned for his congressional seat throughout his political career. The couple are also members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

The report also cited a legal document in which Beth Goulden, chairwoman of the Arizona Sex Offender Management Commission, claimed another Arizona official made comments calling Lamb and his wife swingers.

In a sex discrimination lawsuit, Goulden claimed Miller made “inappropriate sexual comments” to her about Lamb and said, “You know Mark and Janelle are swingers.”

However, former Arizona Supreme Court Justice Andrew Gould, who is currently employed by Lamb’s campaign, told The Arizona Republic that these stories have “circulated online for years” and are “repeated without verification, often only causing enormous reputational and political damage.”

Lamb also denied the accusations and dismissed them as political gossip.
